Welcome to Purgatory, Alchemist. Your task is simple: inspect transmutations, weigh each ingredient, and judge those who dare reshape reality. The rules are absolute. Follow them well, and in time, you may even find your place among us.
Behind the Curtain is a dark, atmospheric puzzle game where precision, logic, and quick thinking are the only means of escaping a fate worse than death. Under the watchful eye of an enigmatic Instructor, you must scrutinize alchemical recipes, verify ingredient weights, and ensure that every rule of alchemy is followed with exactness. If all is in order you may allow the alchemist Behind The Curtain to succeed. If they fail, you condemn them to the same fate you must now endure.
Purgatory is unforgiving. Make too many mistakes or squander your precious time, and the flames of judgment will consume you.
Will you become like those who have imprisoned you here? Must you continue down this path... for eternity? Or is there another way—a secret hidden within the endless cycle?
Key FeaturesTense Judgment Gameplay – Weigh ingredients, inspect transmutation circles, and pass judgment with unwavering precision.
A Mysterious, Unfolding Narrative – Obey the Instructor, or seek out hidden truths buried within the rules of alchemy.
Time Is Against You – Work efficiently before the hourglass drains, or face the dire consequences of failure.
Moral Dilemmas – Can you allow yourself to condemn other alchemists to your fate, or will you defy the system and risk it all?
Haunting Atmosphere – Dark visuals, eerie ambiance, and the constant, oppressive presence of the Instructor watching your every move.
Eternity awaits, Alchemist. Will you submit to your fate?
